Bea, Bodies & Being A Poet
Happy National Poetry Day! To mark this special day we are launching the first of many episodes of the Boundless & Bare Podcast. Hosted by Boundless & Bare founders Melissa Ridge and Melanie O’Donovan this podcast will be a platform for spoken word artists to talk at length about their work, their performances and their personal experiences. In each episode there will be 3 pieces performed by the guest and at the end of the episode a fun 3 question segment. If you were a pizza topping, really, what topping would you be?
The guest for the first episode is the incredibly talented performer Beatrice Adomaityte. Beatrice is a spoken word poet whose poetry tackles themes of mental health and relationships. They have competed in Unislam with the Irish team and has performed abroad in London for the Last Word Festival as well as closer to home in Dublin at the Intervarsity Poetry Slam. They are a member of The Cracked Spine Collective, a rag-tag team of word maestros living and breathing in Dublin. Their poetry is a mess because their life is a mess. They want you to be messy with them.
