Clare Poetry Collective

This month, the Clare Poetry Collective showcases poets Éire Ní Fhaoláin and Ben MacCaoilte, with music from Cairo Rocha and Amanda Shannon, known as Phoenix, to set the scene.

For 34 years, the poets of Clare Poetry Collective have enriched Irish literature, creating original anthologies, translations, CDs, film poems, and sound archives. Their work has been featured in Irish festivals, broadcasted on RTÉ and local radio, and performed as dramatic pieces in theatres and cafes across the region. These poets write, create, and perform in beloved local spots across Kinvara, Kilrush, Ennistymon, Ennis, Scarriff, Killaloe, Mountshannon, and Shannon, with many reading regularly in Limerick and Galway.

The event promises an immersive blend of poetry and music, followed by an Open Mic session at 2:00 pm. Refreshments will be available from the Café until 2:30 pm. Free admission and open to all.
