The Sunflower Sessions

The Sunflower Sessions are back with their monthly open mic night, taking place on the last Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm. This event is particularly special as it also marks the launch of the latest edition of Flare, the quarterly narrowsheet dedicated to showcasing the talents of current and former readers at The Sunflower Sessions.

Hosted on the 2nd floor of The Lord Edward Public House in Dublin, just across from Christchurch Cathedral, the evening offers a welcoming platform for poetry, prose, and spoken word enthusiasts. Readers are given a strict maximum of four minutes to share their work, ensuring that as many voices as possible can be heard throughout the night. While the event is free, attendees are encouraged to support the venue by purchasing a drink at the lounge bar on the first floor.

For those interested in reading, attendance can be confirmed via the event page, through direct messages on the Sunflower Sessions Facebook page, or by emailing sunflower_sessions@yahoo.com. While walk-ins are welcome, priority will be given to those who have confirmed in advance, particularly on busy nights. Please note that access to the venue is via three flights of stairs, making it unfortunately not accessible to all.
