As Ireland throws its head in the sand following the news of an upgrade in restrictions to a Level 4 status, it is a joy to see new spoken word and music videos being created and released. Below are just some that have caught our eye. 

For Those I Love, ‘I Have a Love’

Directed by David Balfe

A tribute to the late spoken word poet and musician Paul Curran who passed away in 2018

The self-titled debut album from For Those I Love will arrive later this year on September Recordings.

Tadgh Williams and Matt McGinn, ‘The Story of Me and Them (In Three Parts)’

Tadgh Williams teams up with folk musician Matt McGinn to perform 'The Story of Me and Them (In Three Parts)' following his debut single, 'My Father's Clouds' which was released earlier this year.

Sasha Terfous, ‘Identity’

Part of the Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation's Read By series of poetry films, Sasha Terfous re-releases her poignant spoken word poem ‘Identity’.

Directed by Matthew Thompson and produced in collaboration with Poetry Ireland.
