OFF TOPIC is an alternative scratch night and costume party, welcoming all genres of performance, hosted by actor and writer Evanne Kilgallon, with support from creatives Becca Fisher, Nelle Russell, and Sarah Heraughty.
Its mission is to foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment, offering a space for artists and audiences to experiment with creativity and performance.
What sets OFF TOPIC apart from other scratch nights is its thematic approach. Each event revolves around a different theme or topic, which performers interpret in their own unique way. To enhance the experience, the audience is also encouraged to dress up according to the theme, extending creativity beyond the stage.
The debut event, "Masquerade: The Faces We Wear," will take place at The Racket Space in the Bernard Shaw Dublin on Friday, July 26th, at 8:00 pm. Submissions are still open for artists wishing to perform. All styles are welcome, including musicians, actors, dancers, poets, drag artists, live painters, and more.
Interested artists can apply by emailing off.topic.nights@gmail.com or sending a direct message on Instagram with a rough idea of their proposed performance.
