The spoken word event Hold That, Keep it!, organised and hosted by Kev Kennedy, will take place on Tuesday, February 11th, at 7:30pm in The Back Page, Phibsboro.
Entry is free, and performers can sign up for five-minute slots. The event will feature headline artist Lewis Kenny.
Lewis Kenny is a poet, playwright and musician from Dublin’s north inner city, celebrated for his poignant works that spotlight urban life, youth culture, and the social challenges of today.
Founder of the Inter-Varsity Poetry Slam and OutStraight Records, Kenny was also the poet-in-residence for Bohemians Football Club from 2015-2018. He has appeared on RTÉ’s The Works and Soccer Republic, BBC One’s Euro Football Show, and featured in campaigns like Euro 2016 and Dublin 2050. His video Cabra was showcased at Berlin’s Zebra Poetry Film Festival.
Kenny has performed alongside Fontaines D.C., Hozier, Saul Williams, and Akala, blending his raw storytelling with a passion for community and culture.
